The Local Governing Board of The Blessed Sacrament Catholic Primary School (part of Mater Eccllesiae Catholic Multi Academy Trust) wish to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic Year 6 teacher to compliment our leadership team from September 2024. We are a large two form entry school in the Ribbleton area of Preston and the successful candidate will work alongside the teacher from the parallel class. We are looking for a teacher with good organisation, high expectations and a reputation for academic excellence. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent management of children's learning and behaviour. We are looking for a candidate who will:

  • Uphold and support the Catholic ethos of the school
  • Be committed to safeguarding
  • Be a classroom practitioner with a proven record of identifying and narrowing gaps in learning for disadvantaged and SEN children
  • Have strong inter-personal skills to effectively communicate with staff, parents and pupils
  • Inspire, challenge and motivate all children to achieve their full potential
  • Have experience of preparing children for end of Key Stage assessments
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of the end of Key Stage expectations
  • Work closely with other agencies to ensure good transitions to high school
