Appointment of Deputy Headteacher at Slyne-with-Hest St Luke’s C.E. Primary School
The governors of Slyne-with-Hest St Luke’s Church of England Primary School are seeking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic Deputy Headteacher to join our happy and successful church school community.

We are looking for a Deputy Headteacher who:
  • is an innovative and passionate primary practitioner committed to creating challenge, excitement, creativity and independence in learning and who has a proven track record of raising children’s attainment.
  • believes in setting high standards while making learning fun
  • has the experience to be able to manage whole school curriculum development and support colleagues in developing subject leadership skills
  • has the skills and ability to assist the Headteacher in leading and managing the school and helping to drive the strategic direction of the school through focussed school improvement planning
  • can work alongside colleagues to mentor/coach and demonstrate good practice
  • has a clear understanding of the Christian distinctiveness of a church school and its vision, as well as the ability to support and develop its spiritual life
  • is friendly and approachable with excellent communication skills and a good sense of humour.
  • can work with all stakeholders to promote school effectiveness
  • is willing to contribute to the extra-curricular life of the school
  • is committed to the safeguarding, welfare and wellbeing of children and staff and has the experience to be the deputy DSL.
