The Governors of St Oswald’s Catholic Primary School would like to appoint an inspirational Teacher and Leader to join the dedicated school team. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Assistant Headteacher will play a crucial role in the overall leadership and management of the school as well as being an excellent teacher with the highest standards and expectations for every pupil.

Ideal Candidate will:

  • Have a clear vision and understanding of Catholic education and a commitment to promote the Catholic ethos throughout the whole school community.
  • Be an excellent KS2 practitioner.
  • Have taken a strategic lead role in curriculum development and assessment.
  • Be committed to achieving the highest of standards for all pupils.
  • Liaise effectively with colleagues to ensure consistent high standards in behaviour management and teaching and learning.
  • Be solution-focussed with the resolve and relentless enthusiasm to make a real difference to pupils.
  • Have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Be keen to involve themselves in all aspects of the school community including the wider parish community.
