The Governors are seeking to appoint an experienced and inspirational teacher to the post of Deputy Headteacher at our popular and successful school.

The applicant should be highly motivated and enthusiastic, embodying our aim of developing pupils who aspire to achieve their very best in everything they do. We encourage our children to demonstrate perseverance and resilience and, as a result, to grow into confident individuals, prepared for life as fully-rounded and faithful members of modern society. The leader we are looking for will be a positive role model for our children and team of professional staff.

We require a leader who will support and promote our Catholic ethos in both school and our wider community, whilst developing inspirational and rich learning experiences across the curriculum.

In addition to being a creative and outstanding classroom practitioner, the ideal candidate will have the vision and skills to work effectively in partnership with the Headteacher in continuing to raise standards.

This role has a significant teaching commitment and suitable arrangements will be made for leadership time; support for continuing professional development will be provided.

We are looking for a Deputy Headteacher who:
  • Will support, promote and embrace the Catholic ethos of our school
  • Is an inspirational and excellent KS2 classroom practitioner who leads by example and who motivates, inspires and challenges children to be passionate about their learning
  • Can demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and is a real team player
  • Has energy, resilience and a good sense of humour
  • Can support colleagues to develop their subject leadership skills and motivate them to give of their best in every situation
  • Has enthusiasm for, and commitment to, driving school improvement
  • Has the experience to be able to lead on the curriculum and ideally Maths
  • Can demonstrate the drive and enthusiasm to develop into an excellent leader
