Information
Due to an increase in numbers and proposed expansion of our Early years provision our governors are seeking to appoint an experienced highly motivated, inspirational, and enthusiastic teacher to join our dedicated and aspirational School Team. This is a great opportunity for the right candidates to join our dedicated team and Kingsbury Family. Our provision strives for excellence, to meet the needs of children with a wide range of complex learning difficulties from the age of 2 to 11 years. 

Unfortunately, this post is not suitable for an ECT and will initially be within our Early years provision.


We are looking for someone who:

  • is an excellent classroom practitioner; who will lead by example, modelling outstanding teaching and learning for children with a wide range of complex learning difficulties
  • has a good understanding of autism and total communication approach.
  • has a good understanding of a personalised curriculum
  • has a good understanding of child development
  • has a commitment to the safeguarding of all children
  • has high expectations for all children
  • has at least 2 years teaching experience in a SEND or EYFS setting
  • has a good understanding of emotional regulation and sensory needs
  • has the ability to lead a class team and drive school improvement as a part of a teaching and learning team
  • has the ability to work effectively with children, parents and governors, as well as members of the wider community
  • has excellent interpersonal skills based on effective communication
  • has an excellent sense of humour

    As part of KCSIE (2022) an online search will be carried out for all shortlisted candidates.

    For all shortlisted candidates it will be requested that members of our Senior Leadership Team visit them in their own working environment to observe their teaching. If this is not possible then the candidate will have the opportunity to be observed working with the children at Kingsbury. These observations will take place between 11th October 2023 to Monday 16th October 2023.
