The Governors at Shuttleworth College are seeking applications for the post of Assistant SENCO. We are a busy, inclusive and supportive secondary school and are keen to find a motivated and ambitious teacher to help support the SENCO.
We are seeking:
• A qualified teacher with SENCO qualification, or willingness to work toward.
• A dynamic practitioner with the ability to motivate others to achieve their full potential.
• An individual with the highest expectations of all students in our school, committed to providing all pupils with a creative and stimulating environment.
• A team player with high standards of professionalism, strong interpersonal skills, excellent organisation and communication skills.
• Someone who will care for our students, ensure they feel safe and valued, and play a significant part in the wider life of college.
• The ability to work hard under pressure while maintaining a positive, professional attitude.
• Experience of working with early years providers, other schools, educational psychologists, health and social care professionals, and other external agencies.
• A candidate that can maintain an accurate and up to date knowledge of national and local initiatives which may affect the school’s policy and practice.
• An individual who can evaluate whether SEND funding is being used effectively, and propose changes to make delivery more effective.
