The Governors wish to appoint an excellent classroom practitioner to play a leading role in the Arts across the school. The post represents an exciting opportunity for someone to take on a key middle leadership position, with the opportunity to shape and contribute to the strategic direction of the school.

The Art department has had an exceptional track record of GCSE results in both Art & Design and Photography. Both Art & Design and Photography have long been two of the most popular option subjects in school and so the successful applicant will be an outstanding teacher of Art, with a proven track record of achieving superb GCSE results above the national average. They will also be able and willing to teach GCSE Photography and achieve equally strong outcomes.

  • Essential Experience
  • Experience of an effective classroom teacher across all Key Stages.
  • Experience and demonstrable commitment in the curriculum area the applicant would be leading.
  • Experience and ability to develop strategies for supporting pupils' individual needs in and beyond the classroom.
  • Management experience.
  • The ability to devise and teach appropriate courses through out the school (Photography teaching experience would be ideal)

  • A keen interest in the ongoing development of Art and Photography curriculum.
