The Governing Body and Headteacher of West Lancashire Community High School are currently inviting applications for a Class Teacher (Maternity cover) within Key Stage 3. The post is for a MPS Teacher with SEN points (1 or 2 dependent on qualifications and experience) Applications from Early Careers Teachers (ECT) are welcomed.

West Lancashire Community High School is a place of high expectations where everyone is challenged and supported to flourish and fulfil their aspirations. 

All teachers deliver the English and Maths curriculum. Each class teacher is a subject leader and you will be expected to develop and lead in that subject across school, supporting other teachers in it's delivery. You will be responsible for directing and monitoring support staff in delivering learning to individuals/groups of students.

Essential Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Degree.
  • Recent participation in a range of in-service training.
  • Essential Experience
  • Relevant experience across a range of SEN and learning abilities.

  • Desirable Experience
  • Teaching experience in a similar school. 
  • Experience of working with secondary aged pupils. 
  • Experience of working with pupils on the autistic spectrum. 
  • Experience of working with pupils with PMLD. 
  • Experience of line management of staff in an educational setting.
