Information
Thank you for showing an interest in the position of Class Teacher at Barrow URC Primary School.

Barrow is a vibrant, happy, and successful United Reformed Church Primary School. We believe that our faith is lived out in all that we do for the children, their families, and every member of our enthusiastic team.

We are a smaller than average primary school situated in the village of Barrow in the beautiful setting of the Ribble Valley. We currently have 167 children across six classes, with the plan to move to seven straight year groups from September 2023. Along with our beautiful extension and growing numbers on roll, we are now in a position to grow our team.  Our children are eager to learn and exceptionally well behaved, with supportive parents. Our experienced Governing Body is closely involved with the school and we all work together as a dedicated team.

Our curriculum is ambitious and bespoke to our school, reflecting our Christian school vision – “Rooted in God’s love, everyone growing together to become the best that we can be”. We are proud of our community, strive to be of service to others and are determined that all members of our school community flourish and achieve their full potential.

We are looking for a dynamic and highly skilled professional, who is inspirational and passionate about providing the best learning opportunities and personal development for all; within a Christian school environment. If you feel that you can help our school in its journey to achieve excellence, we would be delighted to receive your application.

Candidates will be expected to be confident in teaching in either KS1 or KS2 with the exact year group to be decided upon appointment. All our teachers have developed skills as subject leaders and candidates will want to specify their own subject strength.

If you share our vision, enthusiasm and believe that you have the necessary skills to join our team then we encourage you to come and see our school for yourself. Should you wish to visit school please call the school office on 01254 822338 to make arrangements.
