From 1st September 2022, the Governing Body of the school are looking for an outstanding teacher and inspiring leader to join our team of friendly, enthusiastic and hardworking staff and governors as a Key Stage Leader. This will be a permanent position.

We are a caring, happy school where children are valued as individuals and provided with suitable challenge to enable them to achieve their full potential. We are looking for someone with ambition and enthusiasm who can work well within a team and can inspire and lead a phase whilst also having a lasting, positive impact on our children. The successful candidate will have excellent organisational skills and be able to plan and deliver a creative curriculum for learners.



We can offer you children who are eager to learn and full of enthusiasm and a dedicated and welcoming team of staff, parents and governors. We also believe this post will provide the right candidate with an exciting opportunity to further develop their professional and leadership expertise in a supportive environment.



Briercliffe Primary School currently has 370 pupils on roll. In September 2020, the school began its expansion process and our intake increased from 45 to 60 children. This exciting process will offer the successful candidate the chance to be part of new opportunities as the school expands further.



Due to the growing nature of our school, we are able to be flexible over which year-group and Key Stage this post will occupy. We are simply looking to appoint the strongest candidate for our school and hope to be able to offer the post-holder an opportunity which best suits their strengths and experience. (The year-group and Key Stage where the successful candidate would ideally like to work will be discussed at interview.)

Essential Qualifications
  • ·         Qualified Teacher Status

  •           Evidence of professional development relevant to this role

  • Teaching within the primary phase, including evidence of outstanding teaching

  • Team leadership, including during school development and/or improvement

  • Implementing teaching and learning strategies to improve quality and pupil attainment

  • Experience of contributing to staff development

  • Desirable Experience
  • Responsibility for whole-school key stage leadership or equivalent, providing strategic and practical oversight
