The Governors at Salterforth Primary School are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and talented Headteacher to work in partnership with governors, staff, and the wider school community, to lead the future development of our friendly, caring, and welcoming school.

At Salterforth Primary, we seek to develop happy and confident children, who are challenged to aspire to excellence whilst caring for, and respecting, themselves, and others. We are committed to providing an environment that will develop a happy and healthy child. We believe in developing the whole child and our school is not just about academic achievement alone. Much of our curriculum helps to develop a child’s physical and mental health as well as their academic achievements. Our hard-working staff have high personal standards and expend a great deal of effort themselves in the interests of pupils. All children are treated as individuals and are encouraged to develop at the pace appropriate to them.

    The school governors take the issue of safeguarding the pupils of the school very seriously and to this end the successful candidate will be required to obtain an enhanced clearance from the Disclosure and Barring Service. The successful candidate will also be required to provide documentary proof of identity and qualifications.
