Teaching and Learning Consultant (Assessment, Foundation and primary Phases.)

Due to the current postholder moving to a promoted post within the Lancashire Education Improvement Service we are seeking to appoint a Teaching and Learning Consultant to join our successful and dynamic team. The post will involve contributing to the organisation and management of the authority’s statutory moderation requirements, under the direction of the Curriculum and Assessment Co-ordinator and also assisting schools in raising standards and school improvement through the provision of INSET, consultancy and educational materials in relation to all aspects of assessment.

Are you:

  • an excellent and experienced classroom teacher with experience of leading and managing the development of Assessment practices;
  • passionate and knowledgeable about Foundation Stage and primary assessment and the fundamental role it plays in a child's education;
  • knowledgeable and excited about the primary curriculum;
  • an inspiring and engaging presenter;
  • able to think creatively about developing future resources and guidance for primary assessment?
  • a team player and an inspiration to colleagues?

    Successful candidates will have excellent recent classroom experience, the ability to inspire and to be creative, possess effective organisational and administrative skills, a current driving licence and a car available for their full-time use as the role will involve travelling across Lancashire and beyond.
