Full Time Primary Adviser (Monitoring and Intervention Team – Area South)

Start date 1st January 2022 (or sooner by negotiation with current employer)

Lancashire Education Improvement Service is seeking to appoint a Primary Adviser to join our successful and dynamic team.

The post requires the adviser to provide high quality support, challenge and monitoring for schools to help them achieve school improvement, alongside planning and implementation of specialist advice and support to contribute to professional development.

In addition, the MIT Adviser will provide special, intensive support to any primary school or special school in the primary phase which is identified as having serious educational weaknesses (by the LA or OFSTED) or is identified as requiring special measures.

Are you:

A qualified Teacher with successful teaching and Headship experience in primary or Nursery education
Able to bring a broad repertoire of strategies for bringing about school improvement and an understanding of the Foundation and Primary curriculum and assessment requirements
Passionate about enabling children and young people achieve their full potential in education

Lancashire Education Improvement Service provides leading edge and high-quality support, challenge and developmental work with schools. The service provides a holistic service that is both reactive and proactive. The team is innovative and dynamic in its approach to school improvement.

Successful candidates will have excellent school leadership experience, the ability to inspire and to be creative, possess effective organisational and administrative skills, a current driving licence and a car available for their full-time use as the role will involve travelling across Lancashire and beyond.
