Due to expanding demand, Lancashire School Improvement Service is seeking to appoint two Deputy Area Team Leaders to join our successful and dynamic team.



Both posts require the advisers to provide high quality support, challenge and monitoring for schools to help them achieve school improvement, alongside planning and implementation of specialist advice and support to contribute to professional development.



Successful candidates will have excellent school leadership experience, the ability to inspire and to be creative, possess effective organisational and administrative skills, a current driving licence and a car available for their full-time use as the role will involve travelling across Lancashire and beyond.



As one of the two Deputy Area Team Leaders you will work in full partnership with the Area Team Leader and / or ICP Senior Network Leads to support the operational delivery and leadership of the ICP / TAS model as required. You will hold strategic oversight of a portfolio of priority schools and report to senior officers as required and assure the quality of the work of advisers within the area team through monitoring notes of visit, carrying out paired visits and leading appraisals.



Are you:

  • A qualified Teacher with successful teaching experience in primary education
  • Able to bring experience and strategies for bringing about school improvement
  • Passionate about Early Years and Primary curriculum and assessment
  • Skilled at planning and leading training for members of the advisory team and school staff
