Full time Curriculum and Assessment Co-ordinator

Due to expanding demand, Lancashire School Improvement Service is seeking to appoint a Curriculum and Assessment Co-ordinator to join our successful and dynamic team.

The post requires the adviser to provide high quality support, challenge and monitoring for schools to help them achieve school improvement, alongside planning and implementation of specialist advice and support to contribute to professional development.

Successful candidates will have excellent school leadership experience, the ability to inspire and to be creative, possess effective organisational and administrative skills, a current driving licence and a car available for their full-time use as the role will involve travelling across Lancashire and beyond.

You will be the strategic lead on curriculum and assessment in Lancashire, including the statutory functions surrounding primary assessment. Alongside this role you will also lead the Lancashire Professional Development Service (a traded service within Lancashire County Council) as well as providing high quality support, challenge and monitoring for a number of schools to help them achieve school improvement.

Are you:

  • A qualified Teacher with successful teaching experience in primary education
  • Able to bring experience and strategies for bringing about school improvement
  • Passionate about Early Years and Primary curriculum and assessment
  • Skilled at planning and leading training for members of the advisory team and school staff
