Are you looking for that next step into a role that offers you entry into the exciting and rewarding world of Teaching? Do you want the experience and exposure of teaching assigned year groups without the responsibility of your own class?

Flakefleet Primary School are currently looking to recruit a Teacher to cover various year groups on a full-time basis from September. This is a great opportunity to broaden your Primary experiences in a warm and friendly primary school covering classes within Early Years, KS1 and KS2.

The role is very rewarding and there is a high level of responsibility and, although there is always a teacher close at hand if needed, there is a large amount of autonomy. The main purpose of this role is to support a individuals and groups of children in upper key stage two but you will also be asked to cover for teachers when they need releasing for leadership time, absences or training (this will potentially be for all age ranges 3-11 so we need someone flexible!)

The successful candidate will have a passion and commitment to ensure all students leave school with their understanding deepened, their minds enriched, and their hearts inspired, so that they love learning and embrace the challenges of the future.

Responsibilities for this Teaching role:


  • To liaise and communicate with colleagues to ensure that lessons are appropriately planned and delivered

  • Plan and deliver lessons to meet the needs of all pupils through differentiation

  • Plan for and communicate effectively with teaching assistants

  • Feedback effectively and in a timely fashion to class teachers

  • Maintain the highest standards of behaviour within a class and around the school

  • Participate in staff and team meetings and on-going professional development opportunities

  • Essential Qualifications
  • Degree
  • Fully qualified teacher status.
  • Essential Experience
  • Recent & Successful experience of teaching
  • Evidence of providing excellent provision for all pupils achieving high standards of pupil progress
  • An excellent understanding of and experience in using assessment and data management
  • Proven ability in measuring progress
  • Desirable Experience
  • Classroom experience in both KS1 & KS2
  • Working in a variety of school settings/contexts
