Information
Academy@Worden is a successful and popular 11-16 stand-alone secondary academy. The academy has an excellent local reputation and has been oversubscribed for a number of years. In January 2020, Worden was again judged by OFSTED to be a 'Good' school and has the best Progress 8 score of any school in the area.

Following the promotion of the Deputy Headteacher to the post of Headteacher in September 2020, the governing body expects the new Deputy Headteacher will lead on curriculum and quality assurance and continue to foster the academy¿s ethos and strategic vision.

As an academy that is continually moving forward and raising the bar, the new Deputy Headteacher will show strong leadership skills and work alongside an outstanding team of senior leaders and highly motivated and enthusiastic staff, to ensure the needs of our students are met and provided with the best education.

Worden is committed to promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment. The successful applicant will need to undertake an enhanced DBS disclosure and appointment will be subject to receipt of suitable references, qualifications and identity checks.
