The Governors of Ryelands Primary & Nursery School are seeking to appoint an Assistant Headteacher to join our effective leadership team and dedicated school staff.

Ryelands is a happy and forward-thinking community primary school serving the Ryelands community. There are 65% pupils entitled to PPG. The school has increasingly played a vital role as a hub for the community and opportunities to develop this are being further explored by governors. Our expectations are high, pupils and staff are highly valued; this is reflected in our ethos, learning environment and in all we do. There are over 400 children in school, two form entry with a nursery taking pupils from the age of two.

We are looking to appoint an Assistant Headteacher to complement our leadership team, with the same drive and commitment to raising standards, to providing the very best provision for pupils and with a real desire to make a difference. We wish to appoint an outstanding teacher who can lead by example and who can work alongside the leadership team to drive improvements with focus and care for individuals and the community. The Assistant Headteacher will:

- be an exemplary KS2 teacher
- lead a KS2 phase (either LKS2 or UKS2 Team Leader)
- be a core subject leader (either English or Mathematics)
- lead on Teaching and Learning
