St. Josephs is an expanding primary school which is part of Romero Catholic Academy Trust, serving the community of Todmorden in the Diocese of Salford. We pride ourselves on the achievements we have made both academic and non, through our excellent relationships with one another based on mutual trust and respect. The school sets high expectations for our pupils regardless of their starting points and our staff work tirelessly to enable pupils to reach their potential. (The school achieved the best SATs results in Calderdale prior to the pandemic).

The Governors of St. Josephs wish to appoint a professional and highly motivated teacher to join our team from 1st September 2021.

We are looking for an outstanding practitioner who is / has:
- a practising Catholic or someone who is supportive of the faith and is willing to actively model and promote the Catholic values and ethos of the school;
- a passion and desire to impact upon all members of our school community, but particularly across EYFS and KS1;
- a `can do' attitude to join our strong team and improve our already high standards of teaching and learning;
- a working knowledge of the curriculum for both Early Years and Key Stage 1;
- committed to giving their best so our children can achieve their potential.

The team of staff have worked hard to ensure standards of attainment and behaviour across the school are good, and we are now ready to move on to the next stage of our journey. The dynamic teacher was also the Reading Leader; if that is an area in which you have experience, please mention this in your personal statement.
