TEACHER OF HISTORY (KS3/4) (Permanent Main Scale) required for September 2021

Longridge High School is based in the green and beautiful Ribble Valley. The school draws a truly comprehensive range of pupils. The History department is a strong, positive and forward thinking team that produces good results and is a very popular choice at GCSE taking pupils of all abilities.

We are looking for:

An excellent and ambitious teacher who believes every child has the potential to succeed in History.

A person who has excellent and demonstrable subject knowledge of History at KS3 and KS4.

A person who is passionate about History and is able to challenge and inspire all our pupils by bringing the subject to life in the classroom.

A person who can enthuse pupils at both key stages by delivering active and engaging learning in History.

The right person to make their mark in a team, who is also willing to contribute to the wider life of the school.

The ability to offer a second teaching subject at KS3, not necessarily Humanities.

An individual who wants to continually improve his/her own practice through professional development.
