Following the retirement of the current post holder, the Governors are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and talented Headteacher to work in partnership with governors, staff and the community to lead the future development of this school.

Morecambe Bay Community Primary School offers a unique opportunity to lead a caring, committed and effective staff team; supported by an equally established and effective Deputy and Assistant Headteacher.

Our new headteacher will join the school at an exciting stage and will have the opportunity to take a pivotal role in its continued development. Our new Headteacher will be a committed, inspirational individual who is proactive in developing positive relationships with children and has a successful record of primary school leadership and high expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour.

The current Headteacher has developed strong links with the local community and the Governors, parents and children will support the new Headteacher in strengthening those links to build resilience and opportunities for the children and families within Morecambe Bay.

Morecambe is a seaside town in the north of Lancashire with excellent access to the motorway network.
The school governors take the issue of safeguarding the pupils of the school very seriously and to this end the successful candidate will be required to obtain an enhanced clearance from the Disclosure and Barring Service.

The successful candidate will also be required to provide documentary proof of identity and qualifications.
