Hillside Specialist School & College are looking to recruit an inspirational permanent, full time Teacher from the new academic year September 2021. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to join our unique school. Hillside offers each member of staff free access to health and wellbeing services.
Each class is supported by experienced Teaching Assistants dependent on the needs of the pupils. We believe in the individuality of every student, and offer a personalised approach to teaching.
The ideal candidate would need to be passionate about working with children and young people with autism and want to make a real difference to their lives and education.

- Experience of working with children with a wide range of special educational needs
- Ability to plan, implement and evaluate individual teaching programmes for children with special educational needs
- Ability to motivate, manage and develop staff
- Desirable Experience

- A wide knowledge of the continuum of need at all age levels
- Ability to teach autism specific approaches
- Knowledge of AAC/PECS/Makaton and other communication approaches
