The Blessed Sacrament is a 2-form entry Catholic Primary School situated in the heart of Ribbleton, Preston. It benefits from a dedicated staff team and a close relationship with the parish and other local schools. The school has a Nursery unit and a large, school building.

Following a period of challenge and change, the Governors of The Blessed Sacrament Catholic Primary School wish to appoint a new Deputy Head Teacher to the school. This appointment is part of the long-term development plan for the school, and will form a new SLT consisting of Headteacher, existing Deputy Headteacher and Assistant Headteacher.

    The governors are seeking to appoint a Deputy Headteacher who will be a strong practitioner in the classroom, have an excellent record of behaviour management and a desire to improve the school through exemplary leadership. They will have a passion for working with young people and helping them strive for success as they go into their future education and lives. Catholicism is a key part of this role; the successful Candidate must be a practising Catholic and committed to supporting the local parish.

    The appointed candidate will have the following responsibilities:
  • Three day teaching commitment
  • Key Stage Lead
  • Curriculum and Assessment Lead for the whole school
  • Faculty Lead (including a core subject)
  • Supporting staff with behaviour management
  • Assisting the Head Teacher with the day to day running of the school
  • Deputy DSL
