Sherwood Primary School is an outstanding two form entry Primary School. We are looking to appoint a highly committed member of staff to join our team in a dual-role.
The successful applicant will be expected to work with children delivering high quality play experiences in our Before School Provision. As manager, the successful candidate will welcome children to school, lead and support play based provision, supervising children before they commence their school day.
As a teaching assistant in class, the successful candidate will then work closely alongside our class teachers to support our children in the class. For the right candidate, the role could also includes working as a Higher level teaching Assistant for 1 day each week. This includes taking responsibility for the planning and delivery of an aspect of the Curriculum and assessing children's progress in this area.
Working hours are Monday to Friday 7.30-3.30pm. The position will be permanent. We welcome applications from candidates with experience in EYFS, KS1 or KS2. We provide Sherwood children with a vibrant before school facility and work closely with our families to support children's social and emotional needs. Our children work hard and show fantastic commitment to their learning and the life of our School. This position is full time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful the salary received will be paid on a pro-rata basis.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited into School to work alongside children as part of the recruitment process. There will also be a short mathematics and written task for shortlisted candidates.
