Summary
The Governors of Shakespeare Primary School are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, organised, pro-active and hardworking Site Supervisor to join our school team. We are proud of our school and hope that the successful candidate will take pride in their work and work with us to create a wonderful environment for our children. Working under the direction of the Headteacher and School Business Manager you will contribute to the smooth running of the school by carrying out a range of Site Supervisor & cleaning duties to the agreed quality standards, including security of the site (including key holder responsibilities), health and safety management and premises maintenance. This role also includes responsibility for the cleaning team of the school. 

This is a highly valued and responsible position and it is essential that the successful candidate can demonstrate:

  • Good social skills and an ability to communicate effectively with staff, children and parents
  • Initiative and the ability to work without supervision
  • A calm and caring nature
  • A practical and sensible approach to routine school maintenance, in observance of health and safety protocols
  • It is essential for applicants to have good practical maintenance skills in order to carry out minor repairs and general improvement of the building
  • Driving licence with D1 in order to drive the school mini bus

    The post is a part-time position of 37 hours per week, Term-Time plus 5 weeks in the holidays, which involves split shift working (7am to 11am and 2pm to 6pm); however this is negotiable for the right candidate. The postholder is required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the school. The post will be subject to a 6 month probationary period.
