The Governors and Leadership team of Trinity and St Michael’s Church of England and Methodist Primary School are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Additional Needs Teaching Assistant (Level 2b). This new role, in the first instance, is temporary for a year, term-time only (pro rata). It will be subject to an annual funding review.
Please review the attached job description. This role involves providing 1-to-1 support to Key Stage One and Two pupils with SEMH needs. Some pupils find the classroom environment challenging, so the successful candidate will need to have good behaviour management skills, the ability to build good relationships with pupils and positive handling training. In addition to working 1:1 the successful candidate will be required to assist in the general welfare and classroom needs of all pupils and will be required to work with a high degree of flexibility. Work will include whole class support, working with small groups of pupils and working on a 1:1 basis.
Tour of school: Tuesday 4th Nov 4pm or Wednesday 5th Nov 10am 2025. We kindly request that applicants telephone or email the school office to reserve a place on the tour if they wish to attend.
