Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant (level 3) to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the development and learning of children in the early years of their education. The position is based in Ribble Valley and requires a dedicated individual who can start from the 3rd of November.  The role will involve covering PPA time so you must be confident enough to run a class in the teachers absence.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Assist in the delivery of learning activities and engage with children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Support the classroom teacher in preparing materials and equipment for planned activities.
  • Help to create a stimulating and safe learning environment.
  • Monitor and support the children’s development, social skills, and understanding.
  • Assist with the supervision of children during activities and at play times.
  • Help maintain records of the children’s progress, routines, and interests.

    Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children in an educational setting, preferably within EYFS.
  • Understanding of EYFS curriculum and child development.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues and contribute to a team.
  • A patient, caring, and adaptable approach to working with young children.
