Summary
The Governing Body are seeking to appoint a Welfare Assistant to help supervise our children during their lunchtime break. This will require you to support the children in the dining hall and in the playground. This role is term time only and pay is pro-rata based. The hours of work are Monday - Friday 11.50am - 1.20pm.

The ideal candidate will be able to:

  • Engage with children in their play
  • Supervise children in the playground and dinner hall
  • Help make lunchtimes safe and happy
  • Help children to organise playground games
  • Communicate effectively with pupils and adults
  • Take initiative to support the smooth running of lunchtime activities
  • Promote the welfare and safety of children during lunchtime This school is committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
  • Supervise students during sports activities, ensuring behaviour and safety standards are maintained.
  • Support to deliver a variation of sports activities during lunchtimes.
  • Encourage participation from all pupils, including those less confident or with additional needs.
    This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
