    The role is to start on Monday 3rd November and will be on a long term basis for the rest of the Academic year. The hours for the role are 8.30-3.30 Monday to Friday.

    The role will be working in a Year 2 class offering general classroom support as well as working on a 1-2-1 basis with a Pupil with ASD. 

    The ideal candidate will hold a minimum level 2 qualification or equivalent. The ideal candidate will also have experience of working in upper key stage 1 and also working on a 1-2-1 basis. Experience of working with IEP's is also highly advantageous.

    Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide tailored one-to-one support to a Key Stage 1 student, focusing on both academic and behavioural needs.
  • Implement personalised learning strategies to enhance the student's educational experience.
  • Work closely with the classroom teacher to monitor the student's progress and adjust support strategies as needed.
  • Assist in developing social skills and managing behaviours that may interfere with the learning process.
  • Engage the student in activities that support the curriculum and help achieve learning outcomes.

    Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly in a one-to-one setting.
  • Experience working with children who have additional needs and behavioural difficulties.
  • Strong understanding of the educational requirements and challenges faced by students in Key Stage 1.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a dedicated approach to student development.
