Thank you for your interest in the post of TA2b at Cockerham Parochial C of E Primary School.

Our Christian vision and values are at the heart of what we do at school and are important to each member of staff. As such we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed teaching assistant to join our happy and welcoming staff team.

Our staff team value the support they give each other and comments from the staff have included:

  • Staff are supportive of each other and respond when someone needs help or is having a tricky week - either in school or with issues they have shared at home.
  • Time given to carry out additional roles where needed - an understanding of the many hats being worn by many staff.
  • Headteacher available to talk to staff and is responsive and supportive if concerns expressed.
  • It's a nice place to work - people are kind to each other and care about each other.
  • Staff meetings and CPD includes a focus on mental health and well-being and an understanding that this applies to staff as well as pupils.

    We are looking for someone with EYFS/KS1 experience, a proven track record within a classroom environment and flexibility to operate in different areas of work including welfare at lunchtimes. This post involves working with mixed age classes during English and Maths sessions in the morning and across the curriculum including 1:1, SEND support within interventions, groups and class support.

    The 5 minimum hours guaranteed is noted in case of future budgetary requirements.

    TA2B – 12 hours per week on a variable contract with a minimum of 5 hours guaranteed. This position is part time, term time + 2 inset days (TA2B). The salary quoted is full time equivalent of the TA2B role. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro rata basis
