Ormskirk Lathom Park CE Primary School

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Early Years Apprentice (Level 2) to join our dedicated team in our mixed-age nursery and Reception provision (ages 2–5).

This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in a caring and supportive school environment while working towards a nationally recognised qualification.

The role involves learning through practical experience, working alongside skilled practitioners, and contributing to a safe, caring, and stimulating environment.

Essential Qualifications
  • This is a Level 2 Apprenticeship post. You will receive full training and support to achieve your qualification while gaining hands-on experience.
  • A commitment to completing the apprenticeship training and coursework.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Desirable Qualifications
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
  • First Aid knowledge (training will be provided if not already held).
  • Essential Experience
  • A genuine interest in working with young children
  • A kind, patient, and caring attitude.
  • A willingness to learn and develop professionally.
  • Good communication skills.
  • The ability to work as part of a team.
  • A person who is reliable and committed.
  • Desirable Experience
  • Experience of working with children already (e.g. volunteering, babysitting, nursery/school placement)
  • A knowledge of safeguarding and child development.
