We are looking to appoint an honest, reliable Site Supervisor who is able to use their initiative working between Thorn Primary School and Bacup Nursery School.
They will be responsible for carrying out statutory checks and compliance procedures eg. fire and intruder alarms, emergency lighting and security.
They will provide general maintenance to the building and grounds, liaise with contractors, order cleaning supplies and be responsible for cleaning equipment. Part of the role will involve some cleaning.
The successful candidate will undertake a range of cleaning/caretaking/maintenance and security duties.
This is a full time permanent post on a 52-week contract which includes paid annual holidays to be taken outside of term time. The position is Grade 4. The hours will be split between morning and afternoon eg. 7.00-11am, and 2.30-6pm (37.5 hours per week), there is some flexibility and a job share may be considered for the right candidate.

Full driving licence - ability to drive the school mini-bus is desirable.

- Experience in a similar caretaking or maintenance role.
- Basic DIY skills, such as plumbing, joinery, or decorating.
- An understanding of Health & Safety, COSHH, and Risk Assessments.
- The ability to manage their own workload effectively and work as part of a team
