Summary
Kennington Primary School is seeking a dedicated and responsible Site Supervisor to join our friendly school community. This is a crucial role, ensuring our school is a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained place for everyone.

As our Site Supervisor, you will be in charge of the day-to-day care of our school buildings and grounds. Working closely with the Headteacher and School Business Manager, your key duties will include managing site security, overseeing maintenance, and ensuring all health and safety standards are met. This role also involves some light cleaning and DIY duties.

The position is for 20 hours per week and is flexible making it a great fit for someone local. The salary is paid on a pro-rata basis. Extra hours will be available during the school holidays.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will be someone with a positive, can-do attitude and a genuine commitment to our school. We are looking for someone who is:

  • Organised and proactive, able to take initiative and work independently.
  • Reliable and flexible, with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • A good communicator who is calm and approachable.<
  • Practical and hands-on, with a sensible approach to routine maintenance and a strong awareness of health and safety.

    Key Requirements

    While previous experience is a bonus, it is not essential, as full training will be provided. We do, however, require candidates to have basic literacy and numeracy skills.

    The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Experience in a similar caretaking or maintenance role.
  • Basic DIY skills, such as plumbing, joinery, or decorating.
  • An understanding of Health & Safety, COSHH, and Risk Assessments.
  • The ability to manage their own workload effectively and work as part of a team.
