We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and ambitious Teaching Assistant Level 3 to work at Pendle View Primary School. This is an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced person to join our outstanding staff team. Experience of working within a special school / unit setting is essential for this post.
The successful candidate will be working as part of a class team including a teacher, and other teaching assistants. Our Level 3 Teaching Assistants do not work with individual pupils but support the whole class and as part of the role plan for and teach the class when the teacher is out at meetings or on PPA time.
Pendle View is an outstanding, vibrant and inclusive special school for pupils with a very wide range of special educational needs and disability. We strive to create a caring and inclusive school, supporting independent learning where achievements of each individual are celebrated within a personalised learning environment.
Pupils receive a warm welcome from staff at the start of each day. Pupils respond with big smiles and say good morning to each other as they join their friends in class. This positive start to the day helps pupils to feel valued, well cared for and ready to learn.

This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro –rata basis.

- Experience of working with children as at least TA2b within a special school environment.
- Experience of administrative work within a special school classroom.
- Experience of supporting pupils with challenging behaviour and / or medical needs within a special school environment.
