The Governing Board at St John the Baptist RC Primary School wish to appoint a highly motivated School Business Manager who:
- Will demonstrate the ability to manage the school’s financial resources effectively, ensuring compliance and transparency
- Can provide strategic, organisational, leadership and financial skills
- Is committed to continual improvement at a strategic level
- Is highly efficient with a fine attention to detail
- Has first class communication skills, both orally and in writing to a range of audiences
- Can provide a welcoming, professional and efficient ‘public face’ for the school
- Has the ability to prioritise and lead
- Has a problem solving and can-do attitude.
- Will develop excellent relationships with all stakeholders
- Can provide support to the Headteacher, Senior Leadership Team & Governors
- Will fully support the Catholic ethos of the school and the school’s mission statement.
This position is term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro –rata basis.

- 5 GCSE's grades C and above including Maths & English or equivalent
- CSBM (Certificate of School Business Management) or equivalent national qualification at level 4 if not yet achieved willingness to work towards qualification.

- Business and administration qualification (NVQ and above)
- Essential Experience

- Experience of working within a school office environment
- Experience of IT based management systems which include SIMS/Finance 6 and Oracle Fusion
- Experience of relevant financial management, managing budgets, financial reporting, procurement and fixed assets
- Experience of Managing staff, including their professional development and performance
- Experience in managing Premises & Health & Safety
- Ability to deliver services and systems applicable for effective school
- Experience of working within a school office environment
- Desirable Experience

- Experience of working in a leadership team and influencing at strategic level

- Experience in marketing and revenue generation
- Experience of servicing and supporting committees/Governing Body
