We are looking to appoint a reliable and approachable person to drive our school minibus. The post-holder will be responsible for transporting students to and from school each morning and afternoon along a designated route. The hours of work will be 7:00am - 8:45am and 3:05pm - 4:20pm Monday - Friday during term time only. They will be required to carry out spot checks on the vehicle to ensure it is fit to drive and to transport students safely, ensuring their welfare and promoting good standards of behaviour while they are using the minibus.
Candidates must have D1 on their driving licence and will be subject to a driving assessment to check their suitability for the role before any offer of employment is confirmed. There may also be an opportunity for the post-holder to work additional hours to facilitate transport for school trips and fixtures during the school day on an ad hoc basis. This will be discussed with the successful candidate.
The current hourly rate is £12.60 an hour and the post holder will work during term time only. Please note, the application form must be completed for your application to be considered. This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro –rata basis.
