LTA are recruiting for a dedicated Early Years Specialist Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant reception class at a primary school in South Ribble, Preston.

This role is perfect for someone with a Level 3 qualification in Early Years or higher, who is passionate about contributing to the development and learning of young children.

The position starts in September and offers the potential for permanent employment for the right candidate. The hours for the role will be 8:30am to 3:30pm

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Assist in the delivery of learning activities for reception class children.

  • Support the teacher in planning and preparing engaging educational activities.

  • Help manage classroom resources and setup for daily activities.

  • Observe and record children's progress, sharing outcomes with the teacher.

  • Provide support to children with different learning needs to ensure inclusive education.

  • Engage with children to foster a positive learning environment.

  • Assist with the supervision of children during non-classroom times, including lunch and recess.


  • Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must hold a Level 3 qualification in Early Years or higher.

  • Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant within early years education.

  • Strong understanding of the developmental milestones of young children.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.

  • Enthusiastic and positive attitude towards teaching and learning.
