Summary
Whitechapel Primary School is a popular, rural, school that prides itself on its strong, social caring ethos.  It is extremely well resourced and has a committed and friendly staff, happy children and supportive parents.

The school is located close to Inglewhite and has extensive grounds enabling us to provide the very best teaching and learning opportunities.  As a result, children travel from surrounding areas and further afield to attend our successful school.

The children, staff and governors are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide support for a Key Stage 2 child with complex special educational needs.  The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in facilitating the child's learning experiences by helping her access the curriculum at a developmentally appropriate level.  

This role requires a commitment to aiding the child's academic and personal development, ensuring that her individual learning needs are met. Candidates should be proactive, adaptable, and willing to collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals. It is important that the successful candidate is friendly and adaptable and excited to join our small dedicated team. 

The successful applicant will:

  • Be dedicated to supporting children with special educational needs to achieve their academic, physical, social and emotional goals
  • Establish supportive and constructive relationships with children, staff and parents
  • Support learning in 1:1 and small group situations

  • Complete relevant training for the role and engage in continuous professional development

    This position is a fixed-term contract until the child leaves school.  It is term-time only and the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro–rata basis.

    Working Hours: Monday - Friday 09:00 - 12:30pm in the first instance. There is the possibility for additional hours in the afternoons.
