Summary
Seedlings@GCP Nursery are looking for a highly qualified and experienced practitioner to help us in developing our vibrant and inspiring space for the children of Garstang.

Are you a passionate, energetic, and experienced Early Years Practitioner? Do you want to help shape and develop a brand-new, engaging, and immersive learning environment?

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of something special from the beginning, helping to grow and expand our new provision.

Garstang Community Primary School is a well-regarded one form entry primary school with a high profile in the community of Garstang. Governors recently decided to extend our already excellent provision by opening a school-based nursery, in order to ensure a seamless transition through the early years phase into school.
This newly created post will be based in our nursery, which opened at Easter 2025, catering for 2-4-year olds.  The successful candidate will join our well-established school staff, and be instrumental in creating an environment where learning through play is key. You will be well supported  by the existing staff and our Early Years’ Lead. You will be expected to help direct the work of other nursery staff.

The role is for 26 hours per week over 4 days, term-time only and the salary will be paid pro-rata based on the FTE salary. Hours of work will be 8:30 am  – 3:30 pm., Monday to Thursday. With the growth of the nursery, we hope in time to extend this to 5 days.

Please note CVs are not accepted, to apply for this vacancy you need to complete the application form attached.

Please note that in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2024, an online search will be carried out as part of our due diligence on shortlisted candidates.
