Summary
At Euxton CE Primary School, we are committed to providing a nurturing and supportive environment for both our children and staff. As an Out of School Club Assistant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring that our children enjoy their time outside of the classroom, helping them to thrive and develop through play and structured activities either indoors or outdoors.

We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Out of School Club Assistant to join our team at Euxton CE Primary School. The successful applicant will be expected to work with our children after school Monday - Friday 3.30-5.30pm. The role is for 10 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and engage with children aged 4-11 years at our after school club.
  • Facilitate fun, educational, and creative activities.
  • Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all children in the club.
  • Support children with homework, learning activities, and social skills.
  • Promote positive behaviour and ensure the well-being of all children.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents and staff.
  • Follow all health, safety, and safeguarding procedures and policies.

  • Essential Qualifications
  • A passion for working with children and a commitment to their development.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and health and safety procedures.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and use your initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A positive, flexible attitude with a good sense of humour.
  • Desirable Qualifications
  • Play worker or childcare qualifications.
  • No formal qualifications are required but the post holder must be literate.
  • Training on a First Aid programme would be an advantage or the willingness to undertake such training as necessary.

  • Prior experience of working with children.
