The Governors at St Bede’s Catholic Primary School are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2B Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant EYFS team. We live our mission statement of ‘Love, Learn, Serve’ and this permeates all areas of life at St Bede’s. The role is for 24 hours a week. Working days/ hours Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 8.30am-3.15pm.
As a key member of our Early Years Foundation Stage team, you will support the class teacher in delivering engaging, child-centred learning experiences. You will help create a stimulating, safe, and inclusive environment where every child can thrive and develop.
The successful candidate’s role will include:
- assisting and extending children’s learning and development through play.
- understanding child development and the important impact of positive childhood experiences.
- showing a genuine interest and care in the safety and wellbeing of children.
- demonstrating an understanding of SEND children.
- supporting children sensitively with their care routines, eg. toileting, handwashing, changing.
- displaying initiative, the ability to think on your feet and being proactive to the needs of the children and staff.
- listening to others and taking on board advice.
- being comfortable working outdoors and embracing all weathers.

- Essential Qualifications

- Holds a Level 2 qualification in Early Years/Childcare (e.g.NVQ, or equivalent).

- Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
