The Governors of Deepdale Community Primary School are seeking to appoint 3 exceptionally talented and dedicated permanent teaching assistants to work as part of our vibrant and forward thinking team.
The successful candidates will plan and implement structured learning activities, provide intensive language support for individuals and groups of pupils across the school who have difficulty in accessing the curriculum due to their language needs.
The successful candidates will also support children with additional educational needs, monitor pupil progress, provide feedback to the class teacher and establish supportive and constructive relationships with pupils, parents and carers.

We are looking for applicants who:
- have NVQ Level 2 or above qualifications
- have Level 2 or equivalent qualifications in English and Maths
- have excellent language and literacy skills
- have experience of working with children for whom English is an additional language.
- have experience of working in an Early Years Foundation Stage/Key Stage 1/Key Stage 2 environment
- have the ability to plan collaboratively with teachers and implement structured language activities
- have the ability to provide intensive language support to those children who have difficulty in accessing the curriculum due to their language needs
- have the ability to complete assessments, record language levels and set clear targets for learning
- have the ability to forge links between home and school, where home language and cultural differences are a barrier to communication
- have the ability to relate well to pupils
- have high expectations of pupils achievements and behaviour
- have a good sense of humour and have the ability to work as part of a team
- have good communication skills, be organised and have good time management skills
- have a commitment to developing his/her professional skills
Deepdale Community Primary School is strongly committed to safeguarding and promoting the safety of children and undertakes a rigorous vetting procedure. Successful applicants will be required to obtain an Enhanced Certificate of Disclosure from the CRB and a range of other recruitment checks.
