The Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team, working primarily with children to support their learning, well-being, and development. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of class teachers and senior staff to support pupils individually, in small groups, or as a whole class.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the learning and development of pupils both in and out of the classroom.
- Assisting in the delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons.
- Providing one-to-one or group support to children with additional needs.
- Promoting positive behaviour and supporting children’s social and emotional well-being.
- Assisting with the preparation and maintenance of learning resources.
- Working collaboratively as part of a team to ensure the highest standards of education and care.
- Contributing to the wider school community, including involvement in extra-curricular activities if required.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant Qualification) or experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrate a caring and patient approach, with a commitment to supporting children’s learning.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be adaptable, resilient, and proactive in their approach to supporting teaching and learning.
- Uphold the school’s Christian values and ethos.
- Be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Have a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
