Summary
We are seeking to appoint an ambitious Teaching Assistant (2a) to join our happy, successful school and be part of a team of dedicated, enthusiastic staff here at Ormskirk Asmall Primary School as soon as possible.

This is a temporary, part-time position until August 2026 Subject to Funding.

If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro-rata basis, working hours of 08:30 - 11.45am  as a Teaching Assistant, then 11.45am-12.45pm as a Welfare Assistant, Monday- Friday.

The post holder will be required to work alongside teaching staff to provide high quality learning opportunities. Key Stage 2 experience would be advantageous.

Essential Qualifications

NVQ level 2 or above qualification


Mathematics or English GCSE or equivalent at Grade 4/C or above

Desirable Qualifications

Level 2 teaching assistant qualification


Paediatric First Aid Certificate

Essential Experience

Experience of working with children in a school setting


Desirable Experience

Experience of working in Key Stage 2
