Summary
Brinscall St John’s CE/Methodist Primary School Governing Body is looking to appoint a Children and Family Support Worker/Learning Mentor to join our fantastic staff team in September 2025. This is a new position in school due to the increasing needs of our children and families and is an exciting time to join us. We are looking for someone who can develop this role and who is innovative in their approach to supporting our families. If you feel this is you, then we would love to hear from you. We are looking to appoint a committed and motivated family support worker to join our friendly and hard-working staff team.

Successful applicants will have:

  •  Relevant professional or academic training at level 3 or above
  •  A passion for supporting children and their families
  • ·Completed Designated Safeguarding Lead training or a willingness to undertake
  • ·Working knowledge and understanding of Early Help processes and procedures
  • Good understanding of the developmental milestones of children and the issues that affect them
  • A commitment to inclusive education
  • The ability to nurture and support the social and emotional well-being of children
  • Energy, commitment, enthusiasm and initiative
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to work as part of a team within the whole school community

    The successful candidate must be committed to sustaining regular attendance at work.

    The position is part time, term time only plus 5 days. This can be flexible and will be discussed at interview.
