Summary
The Governors from St John the Baptist RC Primary school are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join our experienced  team in supporting a child in Year 4 who requires a personalised curriculum.

We are a Roman Catholic school in Padiham with around 240 children on role. Our School’s mission statement is to ‘Love One Another’ and we are looking for someone to support our Catholic ethos whilst providing high quality provision, care and nurture for our pupils.

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
Proven experience supporting children with SEND in particular Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
Familiarity with working across the School, demonstrating an understanding of early childhood development.
The ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team alongside our teaching staff.
Demonstrated experience working on a 1-1 basis and facilitating small group interventions.
A caring nature who will support our values and mission statement. 

The hours are 8.55 until 15.20 per day, term time only with half an hour lunch.

Essential Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 2 or above qualification appropriate to the post.
  • GCSE Grade 4-9 (C or above) in English and Maths

  • Proven experience of working with children with SEND
  • Has experience of delivering a personalised curriculum
  • Desirable Experience
  • An ability to speak Urdu
  • Proven experience of supporting a child with Visual impairment
  • Completion of phonics training, enabling you to support phonics teaching effectively.
