Larches High School is a Pupil Referral and Medical Unit catering for pupils not in mainstream education, who are both vulnerable and challenging. The personal relationships developed with our pupils ensure that each one achieves their potential both academically and personally.
The Governors of Larches High School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Attendance Officer to join an established team. The post will be managed by the Attendance & Family Support Manager in working to overcome barriers to attendance & learning.
The successful candidate will be resilient and confident working in a busy environment, able to communicate effectively and relate to both pupils and adults, as well as the ability to work calmly under pressure.
You will need a friendly manner, have good organisational skills, and be able to work on your own initiative as well as dealing sensitively with children, parents and outside agencies.
Experience of working in an office environment is preferred, and IT skills including word and excel are essential.
We welcome applications from experienced professionals who have a passion for working with families & young people who need extra support.
This post is 37 hours and is term time only plus one week.
