School Business Manager / Bursar

    A local primary school in Morecambe is seeking a dedicated School Administrator to join their team as soon as possible. This role involves managing the day-to-day administrative tasks within the school environment and offers a potential pathway to a permanent position for the right candidate.

    Day-to-day of the role:
  • Handle incoming calls and manage the school's email and postal communications.
  • Oversee duties related to pupil attendance and utilise photocopying equipment.
  • Use IT systems to draft and send letters, emails, reports, and newsletters.
  • Although monthly reconciliation is outsourced, familiarity with financial processes could be beneficial.
  • Additional hours may be required based on operational needs.

    Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in administrative roles; experience in educational settings is desirable but not essential.
  • Proficiency in using IT systems for various administrative tasks.
  • Knowledge of SIMS and school invoicing systems is advantageous.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and adapt to the dynamic needs of a school environment.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
