Summary
LTA / Reed Education are seeking a School Business Manager to support a committed and caring Primary School in the Preston area. This role is a maternity cover and is a full-time temporary position covering 5 days per week, from 08:00-16.00 with a 30 min lunch totalling 37.5 hours a week. This role is starting after Easter from April 21st (Maternity cover)

An enhanced children DBS will be required that is on the update service and knowledge of school systems e.g. Sims and finance 6. 

Day-to-day of the role:

Oversee the financial management of the school, ensuring efficient budgeting and financial reporting using Finance 6.
Manage administrative systems and processes to enhance operational efficiency, utilising SIMS software.
Collaborate with other staff members to support the overall strategic planning and management of the school
Ensure compliance with educational regulations and standards.

Handle procurement and contract management, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality control.
Support the headteacher and other staff in the development and implementation of school policies and procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience in business management, preferably within a preschool environment.
Proficiency in SIMS and Finance 6 software.
Strong understanding of financial and administrative management in an educational setting.
Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
