Pendle View is a Generic Primary Special School where we support pupils with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and ambitious Level 1 Teaching Assistant to work at Pendle View Primary School.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is interested in working with children with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities within a special school setting. Our teaching assistants not only support the pupils educational development but also support development in communication, self help skills and physical development skills.
The successful candidate will be class based in one of our 12 classes in school. We have 10 generic classes and 2 classes for pupils with complex autistic spectrum conditions which form our Intensive Support Provision.
We offer a comprehensive training programme as part of your induction but as an ongoing part of the support we offer to all staff.
Pendle View is an outstanding vibrant and inclusive special school for pupils with a very wide range of special educational needs and disabilities. We strive to create a caring and inclusive school, supporting independent learning where achievements of each individual are celebrated within a personalised learning environment.
Pupils receive a warm welcome from staff at the start of each day. Pupils respond with big smiles and say good morning to each other as they join their friends in class. This positive start to the day helps pupils to feel valued, well cared for and ready to learn.
Pupils are happy in school and they have fun while they learn.
